A lot of you have asked us, "What’s the least expensive way to bag my car?" .... Well the answer (for those of you who already own coilovers) is Coilover Conversion Bags. Previously if your car had a Separate Spring & Shock configuration in the rear (vs. Spring over Shock) you wouldn't have been able to use your existing coilovers when installing air suspension. But with new coilover conversion...

That was good video that is the set up I want for my sti
Does it do auto leveling?
Yes!
Hey I recently noticed that my rear wheels bounce way more it used to, I never had a problem riding on the LOW setting but now I be banging my quarter panel. I stiffen my ride setting and it didn’t change anything
What brand of suspension, and what car? It sounds like you are at a low spring rate (wheelrate) and that is causing excessive travel. There is no easy fix apart from raising the car up. Super Low kits use the thickest possible air springs, and we spec the smaller air springs when ever possible.
Has anyone tried to change the hole original support bearing to one from KW or something? In case there is absolutely no solution for the clunking problem of the airlift pillowballbearing. I'm totally annoyed, believe it or not 😂
What exact car do you have? I can send you a link to an upgrade that will permanently help, along with a discount code.
I have a mustang LAE. But it's an EU model because im living in Germany. What is this update about? Just a new pillowball bearing for changing?
It's a little bit pricey, but Air Lift offers updated bags that include a radial bearing (much like how the S550 Super Low kit works) the radial bearing protects the Spherical (aka Pillowball). Again it's pricey to do the 'upgrade' but our team could supply you with a discount code if you use the chat feature on Bagriders.com - here's the link to the upgraded air springs, keep in mind you'll need TWO, and you'll want to be sure you have a tight set of sphericals. Link here: www.bagriders.com/air-lift-performance-double-bellow-front-bag-50751.html
Thanks, but I can't see a top mounting on these bags to install.😮
@@schnuddel112 It's an outdated photo, they are the correct air springs for the S550 front.
Hey so I’m following the recommended psi and height for my gr86 on Bag Riders Super Lows. However I hear the rear topping out, if I fill the bag with more psi it doesn’t happen as often, any recommendations?
I see that we recommend 40PSI in the PDF manual. What are you testing it at when you said you're adding more? What does the ride quality feel like at your new pressure?
@@bagriders around 50psi the ride quality feels about the same, maybe a little bit more stiff
i recently starting hearing a rattling like noise coming from my front end on both sides but more notable on the right and i took a look at everything and nothing is loose or visibly wrong. i’m worried it topped out but i really don’t know for sure, if it did is that covered on the warranty?
Topping out won't cause an "instant" failure. It's more of an issue over time, and it means that the plastic internal bump stop will evenly be destroyed. A rattling noise could be some of part of the vehicle other than your suspensions, so consider having who ever installed your system take a look at the vehicle.
You do know you don’t have to unplug each fuse, just connect one lead to the top of a fuse, the little metal piece, and connect other lead to negative terminal on battery, 10x faster and easier
Oh man! This is the holy grail. I wish I had this for my M3. If I wasn't thinking of selling it sooner than later for something a hot hatch I would get it. I got my M3 used and the previous owner had dropped it ridiculous low on some adjustable KW coilovers with an absurdly huge splitter at that. I love driving as low as possible but I had to raise it quite a bit because I basically couldn't go through ANY around me. I am talking I would have to slow down to a crawl and go sideways every single time. People behind me would be extremely, extremely pissed constant thinking and I was always worried I was going to get pulled over and arrested for some kind of driving on drugs or something because it is so not normal to stop at intersections with green lights. I thought the would just arrest me and make me go downtown to do a blood test because it's really not normal to do that.
How do I know if my air spring is bottoming out or topping out? Cause when I accidentally hit a small pot hole, I heard a loud-ish thud sound… but I’m following the specs you guys recommend for my GR86. This is on the Super Low suspension and I mainly hear it in the rear.
Air ride is not prone to common bottoming out issues because the PSI pushing your car upward (against gravity and downward forces) becomes increasing strong. Progressive coils springs are like this as well. So I would be with 95% odds that the sound is topping out!
I had no idea you could spin the bag to adjust the height! Thank you for this informative video Bagriders!
Just to clarify! You want to spin the damper, in the video we use the bag as a method of spinning the entire assembly. As long as the bag is locked to the damper, and your lower mount has the lockring loosened up, you can use this method.
@@bagriders Oh I see! Thank you for clearing that up
Did it take much trimming on the rear, rlca or anything else to tuck like this or just the kit you guys sell? Very interested in gettting my 2023 brz to look like this stanced! 🔥 my bc coils are starting to get bad so need a upgrade 👀
Our BRZ just had control arms in the rear, no trimming needed!
i have an 08 bmw 335i on the 3p set up what’s a good psi/ride height to be at for driving? i’m very new to the bag scene
35-45 PSI (Front) 70 PSI (Rear) This is what the two Air Lift manuals say, these are also downloadable here www.bagriders.com/tech/
How can I check for rubbing or clearance without air lift? I only have one 2 jacks
One jack and four inexpensive jack-stands is a great option! If you can't get your hands on those essentials, it might make sense to seek out a shop that is familiar with air ride.
Is that REALLY your company name?! 😂🤣🤣🤣🥹 WTF came up w/that one?! 🤣🤣🤣
i have 485 compessors which check valve should i use? i have 3/8 size hoses
Because the 485C uses a 3/8 NPT Male leader line, if we were going to upgrade the check valve, we would recommend a 3/8" Check valve.
존 나패고교도소가고십네
3/4 around here. 💨.
How would drifting on bags go?
A well configured suspension being operated in the correct travel ranges will work for Motorsport or for daily driving. There's nothing about bags that prevent them from being used for drifting, so go for it!
why does the airlift make more noise when airing down compared to feelair?
The louder release of air is due to the popit valves that Air Lift uses within their manifold design.
Do they make a way to fit this on a Mercedes CL500
Head on over to www.bagriders.com and enter your vehicle information. That's the best way to see all suspension choices.
Awesome work man!!
why is airlift louder compared to freeair? when airing up
Model of wheels and size?
Those are Rotiform BUC-M wheels - They are 20s but I do not know the specs.
How do you know what psi to run on the top right corner of the remote?
In your tank?
@@bagriders yes!
Like what should give you a reason to increase the PSI? Whats the starting level you should etc
Trimming subie rear bumper stops
Good call!
pretty sure you're not supposed to remove that washer sitting on that clip. The o-ring needs something to sit against so there's no way for it to move out of place when the bag compresses
I’m hoping to convert my bc coilovers on my 1986 BMW E28
Be sure to reach out if you have any questions!
@@bagriders from seeing your video I feel having the option of replacing spring with bag is best option as I’ve already spent a lot on the bc-boyz Then the management system. In Australia I’ve been quoted $15KAU for complete project - insane … that’s approx €30K
Am i the only person that dont like when cars are on bag. they look broken. for me it has to be flush. a fit. tire should not go under the fenders but otherwise this car looks great. didnt know a wing like that would look good on it
What are those wheel specs 🤤
The 11th Commandment says, Thou shall not mix inches and metric when measuring..............
Whats the size of the bolts
Which bolts are you referring to? Feel free to contact our customer support team for further help. 844-404-7344 or sales@bagriders.com
Yeah how about try full cat back now. My 90 ls with custom shortys and magna flow full cat sounds way better but this is good.
Loctite 567 is anaerobic and sealed where normal pipe dopes would not. However keep in mind it's not recommended for plastics. Yep I realize 567 was not shown in this video.
what settings front/rear is the ride height
The Super Low suspension is running 50PSI front and 105PSI rear. Each kit comes fine tuned (damper length and damping) right out of the box!
how low can u ride or set the setting
You can ride as low as you want as long as the damper isn't bottoming out or the car isn't scraping.
@@bagriders okay thanx i had the same mustang im trying to find a low setting..i still see a big gap between fender and tire in the front
@@suspensefulness Having a small amount of 'tire stretch' is also very helpful if you want to ride low!
very interesting. i've always manually overshoot aired up with the up arrow on my 3p then hit my ride height even with airlift performance double bellows. old habits die hard I guess lol.
That's not a bad approach at all, it's pretty effective with rolling-sleeves. I've been in that habit myself.
Is there something we should do about potential dry rot of the air strut? Oil the outside maybe?
With the suspension itself being safely out of the sun, we expect 6+ years before the slightest impact of dry-rotting. We haven't recommended oiling the rubber historically, it's not something that we've ever tested.
How’d you switch from, leaf springs to bags
The leaf springs are removed durning the air suspension install.
Wheels specs???
I’ve seen people put bags on coil overs? How does that work? Seems like a budget option
Hey, we made a whole video about this: ua-cam.com/video/lq5evEcwGcI/v-deo.html Drop a comment on that video if you have further questions, or call 844-404-7344
install video otw?
Only thing that needs to be installed is the air chuck into your tank!
anything coming for ls430?
Yes we have complete Super Low suspension available. www.bagriders.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=ls+430 Check that out. More photos available at Superlow.com
🔥🔥🔥🔥
There is something getting real hard in my pants watching this car !
Sounds like shit. i love it.😂
Is it possible to set it up that it lowers when you lock the car and goes up when you unlock it??
Unfortunately there isn't a way. The only option for the car to immediately air up without having to press a button on the controller is when the car first turns on, its a feature called "rise on start". Most control systems also have bluetooth capabilities that you can use directly from your phone.
If I run dual compressors...do I need two water traps
The short answer is no because we recommend that the water trap goes between the tank and manifold.
Had mine for about a year now, and the only problem is a minor leak i nned to find... other than that, great product!
Can you park over night aired out ?
Yes, you can!
